Your bathroom isn’t the biggest room in your house, but you can make the most of the space you do have with some easy and inexpensive space saving items. First of all if you have a vanity with doors and shelves you can use bins and baskets to organize whatever you want to store there. This makes it easy to get to things in the back of the vanity by simply pulling out the bin rather than doing all kinds of contortions to get to the back. You can use one big bin or several different bins and even smaller bins inside bigger bins to keep things organized.
If you have drawers in your vanity, again, bins can keep things organized and in place. There are a variety of sizes and materials from which to choose. Simply pull out the ones you need as you need them and keep the counter top of your vanity clutter free and available for your pretty bathroom accessory sets.
If you have a floating vanity or one with space underneath that's the perfect space to store your bathroom scales.
If you have a linen closet in your bathroom you could put up a piece of wall board and use push pins with hooks to use for a jewlery closet. You can hang rings, bracelets, necklaces and some earrings.
Whether you have a tub or shower you can use a corner pole organizer to hold your shampoo, conditioner, body scrub, razors, scrunchies, wash cloths, etc. These are great space saving products. Then just pull your shower curtain closed and you have a clean looking, clutter free bathroom.
These are a few tips to make the most of your bathroom space that I hope you'll find useful. Check out all my bathroom products at bestofbathdecor.com and have a comfortable, attractive bathroom you won't mind spending time in.
Functional Bathroom Space
Smaller bathrooms can be difficult to maintain, let alone keep them looking great. We’ve all been in restrooms where we consider waiting to see if we can find another more appealing. Fortunately, a few simple tricks will let you keep that bathroom functional and clean.
First, to help you clear out clutter and maintain an orderly environment, add some simple storage bins. There are many different types of storage bins from small totes that look great on your counter space to other more compact designs that let you maximize your area. Choose what fits your needs and suits your style!
Second, make sure that everything in the limited area you’re working with has both a function for your everyday uses and fits your overall design. Avoid having knick-knacks that just clutter up the vanity. Simple hooks and rods can create a stunning visual while serving very practical purposes.
Following these two simple steps will help you to keep your bathroom running clean and efficiently so that all you and your guests can breathe easy instead of being grossed out when in need of the restroom.
Paint your bathroom a neutral color – by choosing a neutral color like white, cream, beige or grey you have free range to add color with your bathroom accessories. You can pick a shower curtain you like and coordinate with bath rugs, accessory sets and shower curtain hooks and rods. Conversely, you can start with an accessory set you love and find a shower curtain to go with that and continue from there. By doing this you can change the entire look of your bathroom quite inexpensively by changing the colors of the accessories.
Whether you have a single sink vanity or double sink vanity, you’ll need a vanity mirror over each sink, or you may wish to have one large mirror serving both. We have many mirrors from which to choose to complete your bathroom design. Be creative.
Don’t forget about the Holidays. People spend a lot of time decorating their homes for the holidays and don’t think about the bathrooms. We have Holiday shower curtains, some with matching bath mats, that you’ll be able to use year after year.
